北京1月6日电(记者吴庆才)北京历史规模最大的一次艺术灯会将于二月一日至三月二日在北京朝阳公园举行，届时，一千多盏享有“中国第一灯”美誉的四川自贡彩灯将长途跋涉，为节日的北京城上演一场光与影的传奇故事。
此次灯会共分四个专题景区：“奥运风采新形象”，以天坛祈年殿为造型景灯，意在展示北京城市悠久的历史；“民族辉煌长城长”，以长城为造型景灯，意在大力弘扬中华
民族的悠久历史；“欢乐祥和喜迎春”，以大熊猫为造型灯景，意在表现中国民众安康的生活气氛；“中华寻梦五千年”，以神舟五号为造型灯景，意在展示中国科技的飞跃发展与强大。
届时。由五十组彩灯，一千多盏艺术灯组成的本届灯展，将集传统工艺与现代科学技术于一体，结合中国古代流传至今的神话故事、爱情故事、历史故事等，做到形、色、声、光、动的完美统一，具有很强的艺术性和观赏性。
彩灯又名花灯，是中国普遍流行的传统民间工艺品。自古以来，神州大地有“正月十五闹花灯”的习俗，人们在新春佳节闹花灯、游灯会、提彩灯。这些习俗也迎起越来越多的海外人士的浓厚兴趣，越来越多的国家邀请中国民间艺人到国外去开灯会，因此北京的组织者决定将原来一直以主办“洋庙会”闻名的朝阳公园，首次改为灯会。
